Turkmenistan actively participates in the development of transport and transit corridors in the region, initiated a number of UN General Assembly resolutions on transport and made significant investments in transport infrastructure, the international road transport Union notes.
In addition, the country supports the initiatives of other States and international organizations to strengthen regional cooperation for the development of cross-border trade.
"Turkmenistan is modernizing its road infrastructure and building new bridges along transnational highways," the IRU notes.
The international road transport Union is the largest organization in the field of transport that unites the interests of national road transport unions and organizations. Founded in Geneva on March 23, 1948.
