Specialists of the Lebap expedition of "Turkmengeologiya" state concern confidently determine the directions of geological exploration in the promising areas of the velayat. Since the beginning of the year, the volume of geophysical research and work on wells has increased significantly, - reports the electronic newspaper "NEBIT-GAZ".
Currently, large-scale exploration has been launched in areas where oil and gas resources are believed to be available. The main purpose of the work is to study the geological structure of reservoirs, identify hydrocarbon resources and, based on the results obtained, prepare for deep drilling.
The expedition consists of two parties. The activity of the "Golden age of Turkmens 3D" seismic party has been deployed on the territory of the Malay gas field, and the 61st 2D geophysical party is performing search operations on Topazguyy square. Effective use of seismic equipment, as well as research carried out by highly qualified specialists to obtain complete and accurate information about the structure and properties of reservoirs in the Topazguyy area, will allow to complete the first stage of exploration work before November 2020 and start the next one.
More than a hundred experienced employees work in this direction. Mobile seismic installations and other aggregates are involved in the identification of new promising areas. The data obtained on the basis of research works on the Topazguyy area, as well as its location on the adjacent territory of the Naip gas fields, the Northern Gazojak, are a solid basis for its prospects.
