New aspects of bilateral cooperation in the field of cargo transportation were discussed today at video conferences between the heads of transport departments of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey.
The Turkmen side was represented by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Ovezova, heads of agencies "Turkmendemiryollary", "Turkmenavtoyollary", "Turkmenhovayollary", "Turkmendenizderyayollary".
The Turkish side was headed by the Minister of transport and infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, A. Kara Ismail oglu. In the delegation: Deputy Ministers of transport and infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey O. Fatih Sayan and S. Dursun, heads of various transport departments of Turkey.
The parties focused on the role of logistics companies in the development of transport corridors. Separately, issues of a joint project – the international transit and transport corridor on the route Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey (Lapis Lazuli) were discussed, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
