A meeting was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan in the format of a videoconference between the chairmen of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Korean Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, the electronic newspaper "Nebit-gaz" reports.
The meeting discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea. The sides exchanged views and identified concrete steps to develop cooperation in a wide range of areas, in particular, in the sphere of economy and investment.
Noting the growth of trade and economic relations, the parties discussed current areas of cooperation in the field of energy, textile industry, shipbuilding and digital technologies.
During the talks, they also discussed opportunities for further development of the activities of Korean companies in Turkmenistan, which are actively involved in projects for the construction and modernization of petrochemical complexes in the country. The parties discussed opportunities to improve existing projects with Korean companies that have established themselves as reliable partners, and also discussed new projects for the construction of petrochemical facilities in Turkmenistan.
