Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave a sadaka at the Gokdepe mosque on the occasion of reaching the age of the Prophet – "Ak goyun toyy". Upon arrival, the head of state spoke with the elders gathered here.
Congratulating the leader of the nation on his birthday, reaching the age of 63-the age of the Prophet, yashuli wished the head of the Turkmen state good health, longevity, and great success in the ongoing transformations for the sake of the country's prosperity.
Thanking for the good wishes, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the experience of the older generation in educating young people in the spirit of patriotism and humanism.
At the entrance to the mosque, prayers were offered to the Almighty for peace and tranquility in the Turkmen land, unity and unity of the people, sending health and long life to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, new successes in many-sided activities.
Then the participants of the event bowed before the sacred relic-a canvas with the inscription of the Holy Kaaba inscribed on it, which was sent to the President of the country as a memorial gift from Mecca – the religious center of the Islamic world.
The mosque also displays the sacred "teperrik", which was given to the Turkmen leader during the Hajj as part of an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Venerable elders and participants of Sadaka in honor of the birthday of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov offered prayers to the Almighty. Then the Turkmen leader gave Sadaka in a specially designated building at the expense of royalties for the works he created.
Warmly greeting the audience, the head of Turkmenistan noted that the origins of national traditions are closely linked with history. They are the spiritual, moral and cultural value of the people.
The age of 63 is deeply revered, as it is related to the years of the life of the prophet Muhammad, the President said. Our people attach special importance to this age. A person who has reached 63 years of age is respected as a wise person. It is believed that everyone who has lived up to these years, having passed through many trials with dignity, is able to distinguish good from evil. Having known bitterness and joy, relying on his rich life experience, he sets a worthy example, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed.
According to the established good tradition, Turkmens at this age thank the Almighty for everything and give a toy-Sadaka, which is called "Ak goyun sadaka".
"When I assumed the post of President of the country, I declared my main motto "the State is for the person!", which is reflected in the current policy, " the head of state said.
The Constitution of the country defines that in Turkmenistan, the highest value of society and the state is the person. The protection, support and service of a person are the primary tasks of state authorities.
Today, large-scale work has been launched in the country, and the life of Turkmen citizens has been marked by great achievements. Success in the economy, spiritual and cultural sphere is reflected in the spirit of the new era, the pace of grandiose transformations. One of the main goals facing us is to continue implementing progressive reforms and turn the Fatherland into an industrially developed state, head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed.
Noting that prayers were offered in the mosque for the further prosperity of the state and the peaceful and prosperous life of the native people, the President addressed the chief Imam of the velayat, asking him to read a prayer.
In keeping with tradition, the priest prayed "tabarak". At the end of the meal was read "ayat-tower".
