President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengaz" during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held today.
"Having expressed to the Chairman of the State concern "Türkmengaz" Myrat Archayev extreme dissatisfaction with the improper performance of official duties and the weakening of control over the activities of supervised structures, the President demanded to take appropriate measures to improve the efficiency of the structural divisions of the industry," the state news Agency of Turkmenistan said in a statement.
The head of state noted that there are opportunities for effective interaction with foreign partners, primarily in the field of introduction of modern technologies, the latest scientific and engineering developments that contribute to increasing the volume of hydrocarbon production.
The President of Turkmenistan addressed Deputy Prime Minister Myratgeldi Meredov, who oversees the fuel and energy sector, with instructions to attract foreign investment to the oil and gas sector and study the experience of leading energy companies in improving the sector's management system.
