The possibility of preparing a joint review on the prospects of the gas, oil and energy sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan was discussed today during an online meeting between the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for oil and gas issues, Myratgeldy Meredov.
Opportunities for training personnel by organizing short-term courses on medium-and long-term forecasting of the evolution of international energy markets, as well as on the introduction of energy efficiency and green energy technologies were also considered.
At the end of the meeting, prospects for establishing and developing cooperation on alternative and renewable energy sources were discussed, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
