The credentials were presented today to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky by the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Toyli Atayev. The ceremony was held at the official residence of the head of the Ukrainian state, the Turkmen foreign Ministry reports.
During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes of the leader of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
Zelensky expressed hope that the spread of COVID-19 will not interfere with plans to intensify the bilateral dialogue, and extended an invitation to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to visit Ukraine, the press service of the Ukrainian leader reported.
"The interlocutors noted the interest of Ukraine and Turkmenistan in intensifying political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. Special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in the construction industry, " the report says.
