A video conference was held today at the United Nations building in Ashgabat, during which the preparation of Turkmenistan's National report to the UN Committee on children's rights was discussed.
The online meeting, organized jointly with the representative Office of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in our country, was attended by representatives of ministries and departments that are members of the Interdepartmental Commission on ensuring compliance with Turkmenistan's international obligations in the field of human rights and international humanitarian law.
As noted, Turkmenistan demonstrates a responsible approach to providing conditions for the comprehensive and harmonious development of the younger generation. This is also the goal of the Program approved by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for improving the activities of preschool institutions in our country in the field of early development and improving the preparation of children for school for 2020-2025.
Turkmenistan was previously elected to the Executive Board of UNICEF for 2018-2022.
