Preparation of the preliminary technical project of the plant for the production of 10 billion cubic meters of commercial gas per year is one of the main issues that were discussed during video conversations between the State concerns "Turkmenhimiya" and "Turkmengaz" and representatives of the Japanese Corporation Mitsubishi. This plant is planned to be built as part of the next stage of industrial development of the “Galkynysh” gas field.
As noted, Turkmenistan and Japan have successful experience in these areas. One of the latest examples of this is the commissioning of the largest plant in the region "Garabogazkarbamid", whose products-nitrogen fertilizers-are in high demand on world markets.
A new impetus to fruitful cooperation was given during the working visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan in October last year. Then a package of documents was signed, including the construction of a new plant for the production of ammonia and urea in Turkmenistan with the participation of Mitsubishi.
For mutually beneficial partnerships there is great potential, the key aspects of the development which are to diversify the oil and gas industry, creation of infrastructure of export "blue fuel" and innovative industrial complexes specializing in the processing of natural gas, to produce polymers and other chemical products, according to the State news Agency of Turkmenistan.
