Negotiations with representatives of the world Federation of tourist cities (WFTC) were held in the capital's hyakimlik via direct video link, which was attended by heads and representatives of the administration of the city of Ashgabat, the ministries of culture and foreign Affairs.
On May 1 of this year, the capital of Turkmenistan became a member of the world Federation of tourist cities. With this factor in mind, priority areas of cooperation aimed at the development of the national tourism industry and the use of the huge potential of white marble Ashgabat, rightfully recognized as the pearl of Central Asia, were discussed.
As noted, joining the WFTC will allow us to actively promote the tourism opportunities of our country on the world stage, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
