Representatives of the Ministry of health and medical industry of the country took part in the fourth meeting of the standing Committee of the WHO regional office for Europe (EBR), which was held online in the building of the UN Office in Ashgabat, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
According to WHO, the experience of Turkmenistan, which successfully implements national health programs, is indicative and recommended for study by other countries.
Among the concrete steps taken at the initiative of the head of state are strengthening preventive work, active introduction of modern medical technologies and equipment, promotion of the principles of a healthy lifestyle in society, as well as popularization of mass sports and recreation movement, especially among young people.
Turkmenistan, implementing comprehensive changes in the health sector, including the training of medical workers and scientific personnel, pays great attention to the development of international cooperation, which contributes to the exchange of best practices in the field of medicine.
