Online consultations were held between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Romania

Consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Romania were held today in the format of a videoconference.

The Turkmen side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hadjiev. The Romanian delegation was headed by the state Secretary of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Romania, Danuts Neculaescu.

During the talks, constructive interaction was discussed within the framework of international organizations, in particular the UN, EU and OSCE. The diplomats expressed their support for international initiatives on a mutual basis. Speaking about the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan to ensure uninterrupted international transport in emergency situations, the parties stressed the constructive role of Turkmenistan in the process of overcoming the effects of the pandemic in the region and in the world.

They also discussed the draft intergovernmental Agreement on the creation and implementation of the international transit and transport corridor "Caspian Sea-Black Sea". The parties touched upon the importance of the Turkmen-Romanian Intergovernmental Commission on economic, scientific and technical cooperation and noted the need to organize online meetings between representatives of the public and private sectors.

The parties also expressed their interest in promoting cooperation in the field of education, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
