Issues of activation of the international corridor Caspian Sea – Black Sea discussed in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

Today, a four-party working meeting was held in the building of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in the format of a videoconference to discuss the draft intergovernmental Agreement on the creation and implementation of the international transit and transport corridor Caspian Sea-Black Sea.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the ministries of foreign Affairs, other ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania.

Increasing cargo traffic through the ports of Turkmenbashi, Baku, Poti, Batumi and Constanta, and stimulating cooperation with all interested parties, including the European Union, were discussed during the meeting.

The sides also discussed the possibilities of using digital technologies and establishing information exchange, noting the global nature and prospects of the transit and transport corridor for the development of economic partnership, production and energy cooperation, trade and investment, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
