Priorities of partnership between Turkmenistan and the world Bank within the framework of the agreement "Paid Advisory services" became the main topic of the meeting held today in the format of a videoconference at the State Bank for foreign economic activity.

In recent years, Turkmenistan has significantly expanded its relations with international financial and economic structures, including the world Bank. Joint programs are being implemented in the fields of healthcare, statistics, transport, and training of specialists for banking and financial complexes.

According to the state information Agency of Turkmenistan, during the discussion of cooperation plans within the framework of the work outlined in the Agreement, the participants of the online meeting exchanged views on the prospects for building relations in the context of the reform of the national economy, and, in particular, its non-governmental sector. In this regard, the possibilities of allocating investments and providing consulting services for private financial institutions, small enterprises, medium-sized and large companies in our country were considered.

As noted, this document provides for measures to support the reform of the business model and corporate governance in the banking sector, assist in the development of a credit reporting system, and strengthen macroeconomic statistics. Their practical implementation will contribute to the expansion of partnership, in particular, in the field of financing new projects and programs for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan.
