Major investment projects in the field of sustainable transport aimed at confirming the status of our country as a transit and transport hub of regional significance were discussed today at a meeting in the format of a videoconference with the Secretary General of the International transport forum (ITF), Kim Yong Tae.
Leaders and representatives of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, relevant agencies, "Turkmenawtoyollary", “Turkmenhovayollary”, "Turkmendenizderyayollary", “Turkmendemiryollary” and Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan discussed key aspects of cooperation of our country with MTF.
The international transport forum deals with various issues of transport, including multimodal transport, and links between different modes of transport. As Mr. Kim Yong Tae noted, in this direction, the parties have great opportunities for joint activities.
The Turkmen side familiarized Kim Yong Tae with the priorities of transport diplomacy of our country, as well as with the international initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan designed to fully unlock the potential of participants for socio-economic integration in the entire region.
The Secretary General of the International transport forum emphasized that the transport industry has been and remains a kind of system for building links between people, promoting economic development and cultural exchange of countries and peoples, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
