The need to adopt and implement joint efforts in the fight against a new type of coronavirus pandemic was discussed today in Ashgabat, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
A meeting of heads of ministries of health of Central Asia and Russia with representatives of the WHO Regional Office for Europe was held in the UN building in the format of a videoconference.
On the Turkmen side, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of health and medical industry and other representatives of this Ministry, as well as the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Participants paid close attention to the prevention and control of particularly dangerous infectious diseases and discussed the achievements of countries in the field of prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.
During the exchange of views, the participants of the meeting agreed on the need for joint actions in the near future, ensuring equal access to relevant medical data at the national and interregional levels, and exchanging expert skills between specialists from the countries of the region.
