The Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of foreign Affairs and trade of Ireland Simon Coveney.
During the conversation, key aspects of cooperation in the political and diplomatic sphere were discussed, as well as the main issues on the regional and international agenda, including the importance of solidarity of the world's countries in the fight against the pandemic.
The diplomats stressed that high-level visits are an important factor in boosting bilateral ties.
Speaking about the economic situation in the world, the parties pointed to the existence of potential opportunities for expanding bilateral trade and economic relations. The importance of relations in the field of science and education was noted.
They also discussed the topic of mutual support for the initiatives of both countries on international platforms, in particular, activities in the UN structures. It was stressed that holding timely meetings, in particular political consultations, provides a good opportunity to exchange views on key areas, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
