Turkmenistan's foreign Ministry held online talks with the EU special representative for Central Asia

Key areas of the Turkmenistan – EU dialogue were discussed during an online meeting organized by the foreign Ministry with the European Union's special representative for Central Asia, Peter Burian, the State news Agency reports.

Special attention was focused on the goals and objectives of the new EU Strategy for Central Asia, which provides for the intensification of bilateral and multilateral partnership in the security sphere, as well as in the trade, economic, transport and energy fields.

Documenting with satisfaction the positive development of relations between Turkmenistan and the European community, evident is proved by dozens of joint projects and programs in education, environmental protection, economy, support private sector development and agriculture, the parties confirmed their mutual willingness to enhance fruitful communication.

According to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the possibility of implementing joint projects affecting various areas of the national economy of our country was considered during the talks. The interlocutors focused on the need to exchange expert skills and implement best practices in key economic sectors such as agriculture, transport, energy, advanced technologies and environmental protection.

During the interested exchange of views, the participants of the online meeting expressed confidence that holding such consultations and meetings on a systematic basis will further intensify the multifaceted relations of Turkmenistan with the countries of the European Union.
