The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting on the implementation of the project of the International trade center "Central Asia: trade Readiness-Support for intraregional and international trade in Central Asia", funded by the European Union.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and industry departments of Turkmenistan, including the Ministry of trade and foreign economic relations, the Central Bank, the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs. The participation of experts from the International trade center occurred online.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on the key components of the project, which is aimed at strengthening national capacity in the field of trade, developing competitiveness and adopting new trade strategies, in particular for small and medium-sized businesses. Participants of the online platform supported the development of an action plan for its implementation.
The parties discussed the threats and challenges of the economic situation in the region and around the world, considered joint ways to successfully resolve them and expressed a unanimous desire to further develop economic integration, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
