Today, a video conference was held under the auspices of UNESCO, during which participants - leaders of the cultural sphere of more than two hundred countries - discussed measures to support cultural institutions in the context of the global pandemic.

They exchanged views on the prospects for partnership in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres. The participants also discussed issues of interaction on the preservation of historical and architectural monuments, the preservation and promotion of unique historical and cultural heritage.

From the Turkmen side, it was reported that cultural institutions in the country, such as museums, libraries, and concert halls are open to the public and there are no restrictions in this direction now. Thanks to the timely measures taken by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, there is no danger of its spread in Turkmenistan, where, as in the whole world, a large-scale fight is being waged to prevent the disease.

In addition, work is underway on conducting various cultural events of international character in the online mode. One of the upcoming events is the international photo exhibition and conference "Neutrality of Turkmenistan: guarantee of peace and prosperity", which will be held in May at the Museum of fine arts of the country. To date, photographers from 12 countries have expressed a desire to participate in the exhibition, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
