A telephone conversation took place today between the Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov.
The foreign Ministers discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its further development in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The need to intensify cooperation in the field of transport was noted. They also exchanged views on cross-border cooperation and transit and transport links.
During the conversation, an agreement was reached to continue holding regular consultations between the two ministries of foreign Affairs, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
