In order to implement the state policy on popularizing the principles of healthy and active lifestyle among young people, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the people's Republic of China organized a distance sports event for Turkmen students in China.
Employees of the diplomatic mission of our country, members of their families, as well as 120 Turkmen students studying at universities in Beijing, Tianching, Shanghai, Xian and other Chinese cities, took part in competitions in cycling, running, badminton, volleyball, chess, football, basketball, table tennis, Billiards and several other sports, including the national Chinese game, the website "Turkmenistan: Golden age" reports.
Joint training and sports events were coordinated via a video bridge in connection with the mass distribution of COVID-19 and the ongoing quarantine regime in educational institutions in China.
Before the start, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China Parahat Durdyev spoke, who focused the attention of representatives of the younger generation of Turkmen citizens on the successes achieved by the country in organizing mass sports and recreation movement and developing sports, in popularizing the principles of a healthy lifestyle, educating a physically strong and strong-minded generation.
