These days, the state subject Olympiad of schoolchildren is being held in Ashgabat and in the velayats of the country, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports.

For the first time, this annual intellectual competition, initiated by the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, is organized online. This time all the Olympic tours take place on the ground. Their participants do not need to travel to other regions for subject competitions, as was previously the practice. Several higher educational institutions that have already gained experience in conducting Intercollegiate distance intellectual marathons and scientific conferences provided support in organizing the Olympiad in a new format for its participants. They were also repeated participants in similar events both on a national and international scale.

Electronic transmission of the Olympic jobs on the subject of tours is carried out by four universities located in Ashgabat. These are the Oguzkhan University of Engineering and technology, the international University of oil and gas, the Makhtumkuli Turkmen state University and the international University of Humanities and development.

Three more high schools became regional centers for the Olympics. The Turkmen state pedagogical Institute named after S. Seidy, the Turkmen agricultural Institute and the state energy Institute of Turkmenistan, respectively located in the Lebap, Dashoguz and Mary velayats, opened their doors to its participants. For young experts from the Balkan, Akhal and Ashgabat regions, intellectual competitions are held on the basis of specialized secondary schools that have modern multimedia infrastructure necessary for organizing distance e-learning.

High school students of grades 10-11 participate in the Olympiad, which will last until April 24. They compete in ten subject categories. These are language subjects (Turkmen, English and Russian), history, geography, chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, computer science and information technology.
