The Academy of civil Service of Turkmenistan has transferred the master's program to an online format

The short-term course of the pilot master's program "Digital management" for specialists of information and communication technologies (ICT) of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan has been switched to online mode, the UNDP news center reports.

This decision was made in connection with the current situation of the spread of the COVID 19 virus worldwide.

The master's program involves a group of teachers from the departments of information resources management, state construction and management of the Academy of management under the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Babahan Berdyev, national coordinator of international programs of the Academy of public service of Turkmenistan:

"Training is conducted in a specially equipped computer classroom using educational materials in the digital Moodle format, which has created optimal opportunities for effective and high-quality classes for our students. The classes are conducted by national coaches and consultants, together with Belarusian colleagues via video communication. This way we managed to avoid losing training hours due to temporary difficulties of international flights."

Students of the master's course discussed the importance of legislative regulation of digitalization policy.

In order to form a legal basis for action, on March 14, 2020, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted the draft Law of Turkmenistan "On electronic document, electronic document management and digital services". Based on this, the curriculum of the course included a subject related to the legal framework of digital management.

Tatiana Starovoitova, candidate of economic Sciences, associate Professor of information resource management Academy of management under the President of the Republic of Belarus during online sessions noted the importance of prioritizing the main tasks of the divisions and offices ICT ministries and departments of Turkmenistan. This work is necessary for the study and subsequent application of the principles of digital transformation of the economy and management. Also, progress in this direction will allow you to develop skills in using modern information technologies and systems in the work of public authorities and management, organizations and enterprises for the formation of electronic services. This initiative will serve as an impetus and source of useful lessons for the introduction of online education in academic circles in general.
