The current state and prospects for the development of mutually beneficial relations were discussed today in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan at a meeting via digital video link with the Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau Dimitri Kerkentzes.

During the videoconference, the parties noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Exhibitions Bureau (IEB) on a wide range of issues, and stressed the importance of the international exhibition EXPO, planned in Dubai.

According to the State news Agency of our country, during the online negotiations, the participants also discussed the issue of providing the IEB with expert advice and assistance for the project of a virtual exhibition on the organization of a virtual exhibition of export goods and services of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan, as a party to the Convention on international exhibitions and a member of the International Bureau of exhibitions, strives to introduce the most advanced developments and technologies in this field. In this context, they discussed the possibility of establishing an exchange of experience and studying best practices in cooperation with the IEB.

The parties expressed confidence that the joint events will contribute to building up productive international cooperation and further integration of our country into the global exhibition space, including the virtual one.

Mr. Kerkentzes was also invited to participate in the International conference "The Policy of neutrality and its role in ensuring international peace, security and sustainable development", which is scheduled to be held in December this year in Ashgabat.
