Turkmen football specialist Kurban Berdyev intends to return to coaching. This is reported by "BUSINESS Online".
According to information, in the last six months, he held meetings in Moscow and St. Petersburg with potential employers and possible members of his team. 67-year-old Kurban Berdyev is ready to take young coaches to his team and has already established contacts with some of them, the source notes.
For a long time Kurban Berdyev was the head coach of the “Rubin” football club (Kazan). In total, under his leadership, the team played 478 matches (208 wins, 140 draws, 130 losses). With “Rubin” Kazan, Kurban Berdyev won the Russian Championships in 2008 and 2009, the Russian Super Cup twice (2010, 2012), took part in the Champions’ League group stage twice, managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League with the team, and won the Russian Cup in the 2011/12 season. And in the 2015/16 season, Kurban Berdyev sensationally led a modest "Rostov" to silver in the Russian football championship.
