Representatives of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) discussed topical issues of cooperation in various spheres in the format of videoconferences.

According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, during a video conference of the heads and representatives of the Agency "Turkmen sea and river routes" and the Joint Stock Company "Zelenodolsk plant named after A.M. Gorkiy" of the “Ak bars” Shipbuilding Corporation, an interested exchange of views on the effective use of existing opportunities to build mutually beneficial trade and economic ties took place.

They stressed the importance of activating partnership in many areas in the context of agreements reached earlier between Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rustam Minnikhanov.

Representatives of JSC "Zelenodolsk plant named after A.M. Gorkiy" of the “Ak bars” Shipbuilding Corporation, expressing great interest in strengthening productive ties, voiced a proposal for the construction of a dry cargo ship, which is considered the most profitable from the technical and economic points of view for sea transportation in the Caspian Sea.

Underlining the importance of further expansion of cooperation that contributes to the development of Turkmen-Tatar relations in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, the participants of the meeting confirmed their readiness to use the existing potential for this purpose.

The video conference of the heads and representatives of the Agency "Turkmen airlines" and the Public joint stock company "Kazan helicopter plant" also discussed the prospects for cooperation.

Recall that in March of this year, head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree according to which the Agency "Turkmen airlines" will purchase "Ansat" and "Mi-17-lW" helicopters equipped with modern medical equipment, produced by "Kazan helicopter plant" (Republic of Tatarstan, Russia).

Multifunctional vehicles are designed to provide emergency medical care to the population in remote localities, as well as in the vicinity of cities. The contract provides for the supply of spare parts and consumables, as well as training of specialists.

During the videoconference, the parties confirmed their readiness to make every effort to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in the transport sector.

Another video conference was held by the heads and representatives of the state concern "Turkmenhimiya" and the limited liability Company "KER-Holding" of Tatarstan. The main attention was paid to issues related to the implementation of the project for the construction of a complex fertilizer production unit (NPK) at the Turkmenabat chemical plant and the preparation of a corresponding contract.

As part of the working visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Tatarstan in June 2019, a "Memorandum of understanding" was signed between the state concern "Turkmenhimiya" and "KER-Holding" LLC, reflecting the desire of the parties to mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of promising investment projects for the development of the chemical industry of Turkmenistan.

This company became the winner of the international tender held by the state Concern "Turkmenhimiya" for the design and construction of the "turnkey" installation with a capacity of 170 thousand tons of products per year.

The corresponding Framework Agreement on the implementation of this project was concluded at the first Caspian economic forum, held in August last year in the national tourist zone "Avaza".

During the current videoconference, various aspects related to the preparation of the project for the construction of a new production complex were discussed in detail.

Prospects for cooperation were discussed during a video conference between the heads and representatives of the Agency "Turkmenawtoulaglary" and the Public Joint Stock Company "KAMAZ". At the same time, the positive dynamics of partnership in the transport sector was highlighted.

Currently, in accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed in June last year, work is underway to send high-performance vehicles and special equipment of this world-famous brand to the ministries, industry departments and other enterprises of our country.

Underlining that the market of Turkmenistan is one of the key markets for “KAMAZ”, the company's representatives noted that they will continue to take the most responsible approach to fulfilling their partnership obligations, including the construction of service centers, further training of personnel servicing modern equipment.
