The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan informs that due to temporary restrictions on entry to the Russian Federation of foreign citizens and stateless persons, the consular Department can issue ordinary private visas in the following cases:
- a foreign citizen-a family member of a Russian citizen to care for a seriously ill or elderly close relative, a minor child, etc., as well as in the event of the death of a close relative. The visa is issued subject to the provision of documents confirming this circumstance (a certified international telegram or a copy of the certificate / certificate of death), as well as a copy of the document confirming the degree of kinship;
- family members (spouses, minor children, and disabled adult children) of Russian citizens. Visas are issued on the basis of an application for joint investigation, or on the basis of an invitation from the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia, if the family member is a Russian citizen and is located on the territory of the Russian Federation;
- family members (parents, adoptive parents, adopted children, guardians and Trustees) of Russian citizens. Visas are issued on the basis of an invitation issued by the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia;
- citizens who have a temporary residence permit (TRP) in the Russian Federation can enter the territory of the Russian Federation only due to urgent humanitarian circumstances, if they are spouses, minor children, or adult disabled children of Russian citizens. The visa is issued subject to the provision of documents confirming the degree of kinship.
Temporary restrictions do not apply to foreign citizens and stateless persons who have a residence permit, as well as those who are in transit for up to 24 hours without leaving the airport's transit zone.
The Embassy emphasizes that these measures are justified by special circumstances and are only temporary.
The Embassy asks you to take into account that you should apply for a visa only after the restrictions imposed by the authorities of Turkmenistan on the departure of Turkmen and foreign citizens from the country are lifted.
