Transport and logistics issues were discussed at a videoconference between Turkmenistan and Georgia

Today, representatives of Turkmenistan and Georgia held a meeting in the format of a videoconference. This is reported by the country's foreign Ministry.

The Georgian side, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili, was also represented by the Deputy Minister of economy and sustainable development, the Deputy Minister of Finance and the head of agencies and companies.

Under the leadership of Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdi Myatiev, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance and economy, representatives of the Ministry of trade and foreign economic relations, as well as heads of a number of agencies and transport and logistics centers.

The issue of bilateral cooperation in the transport and transit sphere was put at the top of the agenda. Issues related to the activation of the international transport corridor "Caspian Sea - Black sea" and the possible use of land on the territory of the port of Poti (Georgia) were discussed.

They also discussed Georgia's experience in washing and disinfecting railway trains arriving from abroad. In addition, issues of pricing in the field of cargo transportation, customs duties, trade privileges, and mutual settlements were considered.
