Representatives of the Consulate of Turkmenistan organized a tree planting event in the city of Akina in Andhoy district, Faryab province of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The landscaping event was timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and the international holiday Novruz. This is reported by the website CentralAsia.news referring to the information of the foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
Trees were planted next to the bas-relief of Makhtumkuli Fragi and a mosque designed for 500 worshippers, which is being built in the city with the support of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by representatives of the Consulate of Turkmenistan, the mayor of akin, representatives of the Afghan Foreign Ministry, employees of the country's customs service, oil and gas and railway institutions, representatives of the local Turkmen Diaspora, as well as local and foreign media journalists.
