The head of Turkmenistan held a workshop on trade and entrepreneurship development

Issues related to the implementation of the concept of digital economy development for 2020-2025 and the implementation of the instructions given by the head of state were discussed at a working meeting held by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the shopping complex Ch.Gylyjov, as well as heads of ministries and industry departments of this sector, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

As the President noted, the sphere of trade, being one of the dynamically developing branches of the national economic complex, clearly demonstrates the positive changes taking place in the national economy in the conditions of its transition to market relations. The development of the trade sector is an important indicator of social well-being and the success of ongoing reforms.

In the large-scale works on production of import-substituting products, continued the head of state, agriculture, processing industries and creation of new industrial areas of the Turkmen economy, a growing list of domestic competitive on the world market of goods.

The increase in the volume of domestic trade is a clear confirmation of improving the welfare and social conditions of the population, the head of state stressed. Along with this, the structure of imports and exports in foreign trade turnover demonstrates the positive development of multilateral interstate cooperation, strengthening business contacts of the country's producers.

During the meeting, the President gave the floor to the Minister of trade and foreign economic relations O. Gurbannazarov, who reported on measures to activate the process of transition to the digital system, as well as to fully provide the domestic market with food products.

These activities are aimed at further improving the activities of the trade sector, increasing the volume of foreign trade turnover, expanding reliable mutually beneficial relations with business partners, increasing the production of import-substituting products, and improving the culture of public service.

In addition, in order to provide the country's domestic markets with goods of domestic production, cooperation is maintained with producers of vegetable and vegetable crops, livestock and other food products, which are assisted in the supply of raw materials.

The Minister also informed about the activities of the supervised structure for the successful implementation of the tasks outlined in the program of socio-economic development of the country for 2020-2025.

After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of the tasks facing the trade complex in terms of the successful implementation of the ongoing reforms in the country.

At the same time, the head of state pointed out the need for effective use, modernization and increase of capacities of warehouse refrigerating facilities available in the velayats and the city of Ashgabat and intended for storing food products.

Then the President gave the floor to the Minister of textile industry R. Rejepov, who reported on the work being done to solve the tasks outlined in the program of socio-economic development of the country, as well as on the implementation of instructions.

As noted, steps are being taken to increase production, improve its quality, increase the assortment, sell Turkmen textiles at home and abroad, as well as to study and create new sales markets, develop foreign economic relations and marketing. All this contributes to increasing demand for domestic textile products in the world.

At the same time, the Ministry of textile industry is developing a set of economic measures to increase the interest of manufacturers in producing competitive products that meet international standards. The relevant enterprises are working on the implementation of the state policy in the field of digital technologies.

After hearing the report, the head of state identified the implementation of investment projects as promising areas for future activities. It is necessary to pay attention to the issues of reconstruction of enterprises operating in all velayats of the country, construction of new high-tech complexes and increasing employment of the population, the President said.

The importance of timely commissioning of textile complexes under construction in the Kaka and Babadayhan etraps was emphasized, and as a result, increasing the export potential of the industry.

Stressing the need for products to meet international standards and environmental safety, the head of state addressed specific instructions to the Minister of textile industry. The importance of introducing digital technologies into production and creating favorable working conditions for industry specialists was also noted.

Then the President gave the floor to the Chairman of the State Association "Türkmenhaly" O. Ishanguliyeva, who reported on the activities of the structure headed by Her.

It was emphasized that successfully carried out the tasks for improving the production of carpets and rugs handmade, expand the scope of their implementation, and promote hand-weaving, the value of which is revealed in close connection with the life of the Turkmen people, its rich heritage, history and culture.

Summing up the report, the President gave instructions to increase the production of handmade carpets and to intensify activities related to the promotion of our national heritage in the world. To do this, it is advisable to use the services of trading houses of Turkmenistan in other countries.

The head of state stressed that taking into account local raw materials and studying the state of the market, it is important to develop plans for the production of handmade carpets and the development of national crafts in the future.

Then the floor for the report was given to the Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs A. Dadayev, who reported to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the issues of supply of private enterprises that produce food products with the necessary raw materials and production facilities.

It was also reported that joint work is being carried out with the relevant ministries and industry departments to increase the production of vegetables, meat, dairy and other products of daily demand.

As it was emphasized, on the basis of monitoring the production needs of individual enterprises that produce both food products and other socially important goods, organizational work is being carried out to provide them with appropriate support.

In addition, quality control and compliance with the terms of commissioning of the constructed objects is carried out.

Summarizing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the important role of the non-governmental sector in modernizing the national economy, increasing the volume of output and assortment of competitive products, ensuring food abundance and increasing the country's export potential.

It is small and medium-sized businesses that have given a powerful impetus to the development of the domestic trade complex in terms of strengthening the material and technical base and expanding the structure of the industry, its export opportunities, increasing output, creating new jobs, the President stressed.

The head of state ordered to take all measures to ensure high-quality and timely performance of work at the facilities scheduled for commissioning by the 25th anniversary of neutrality.

Then the Chairman of the State commodity exchange B. Charyev reported on the activities of the Department to create optimal conditions for the sale of goods and raw materials, the development of the wholesale market of domestic products.

We are working on the organization and conduct of exchange trading, introduction of effective pricing methods, and determination of the feasibility of the cost of export-import agreements.

After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of improving the activities of the State commodity exchange as the main body regulating export and import operations in the country. Exchange trading should be conducted strictly in accordance with the approved Procedure, the head of state said.

Then the President of the country gave the floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch. Gylyjov The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the work carried out in the supervised structures, including on strengthening and expanding the potential of the national economy. As the head of state noted, among the main tasks of the trade system is to export surplus products produced in the country, ensure coherence in the work of markets, and ensure sustainable food supply to the population.

Focusing on the implementation of the digital system in this area, the President ordered to identify and use new modern management methods, improve activities in the field of marketing and management.

The head of state also instructed to expand the range of textile products and increase their competitiveness in international markets.

Having ordered to keep the construction of new carpet workshops in the center of attention and modernize production structures, the President stressed the need to preserve and improve carpet weaving traditions.

The Turkmen leader ordered to establish an online trade organization and expand the order delivery system, which will allow to work in accordance with the trends of the time.

The successful implementation Of the program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan necessitates the introduction of innovations, coordination of activities of all sectors and regions, the process of diversification, the creation of import-substituting industries and strengthening the country's export potential, the head of state continued.
