President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to increase the production of handmade carpets. The relevant instructions were given to the Chairman of the state Association "Turkmenhaly" Ogulhajat Ishanguliyeva during a working government meeting, which discussed issues related to the implementation of the Concept of digital economy development for 2020-2025, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The head of state stressed that taking into account local raw materials and studying the state of the market, it is important to develop plans for the production of handmade carpets and the development of national crafts in the future.
The President of Turkmenistan also ordered to intensify activities related to the promotion of our national heritage in the world.
"For this purpose, it is advisable to use the services of trading houses of Turkmenistan in other countries," Berdimuhamedov said.
Having ordered to keep the construction of new carpet workshops in the center of attention and modernize production structures, the President of Turkmenistan stressed the need to preserve and improve carpet weaving traditions.
