“Turkish Airlines” has decided to temporarily suspend all flights from Turkey to Turkmenistan. This is reported today by the official website of the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan.

As part of this decision, all scheduled flights until April 2, 2020 were canceled, including those on the route Istanbul-Turkmenabat and Turkmenabat-Istanbul, which were scheduled by the airline for March 17 and 18, 2020. For more information, please contact the “Turkish Airlines” help desk at +99361014433.

Regular flights from Ashgabat to Istanbul international airport are currently operated by Turkmenistan airlines. On the way back, the aircraft make an intermediate landing in the city of Turkmenabat for sanitary control.

Over the past month, Turkish Airlines has canceled flights to Italy, Iraq, Iran, Ukraine, the Republic of Korea and other countries due to an outbreak of coronavirus.

It should be recalled that in Turkmenistan, under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in accordance with the recommendations of the world health organization and taking into account national legislation, necessary and timely steps are being taken to prevent the penetration of dangerous infectious diseases into the country. As stated earlier at a briefing at the Ministry of foreign Affairs, no cases of disease or suspected coronavirus have been recorded in Turkmenistan.
