Today, the President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, General of the army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, which reviewed the results of the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies over two months of this year, as well as discussed tasks to improve the activities of law enforcement agencies and address social issues.

Opening the meeting, the President gave the floor to Minister of defense B. Gundogdyev who has reported about results of activity of the Agency since the beginning of the year, including the introduction of advanced technologies in various branches of the armed forces, implemented steps to strengthen the country's defense, the creation of proper conditions for service and life of soldiers and officers.

One of the promising areas of military reform is improving the work of this structure, the President of Turkmenistan stressed, noting the importance of further modernization of the material and technical base of the country's Armed Forces.

It is necessary to take comprehensive measures to improve the level of equipment and combat skills of the personnel of the Armed Forces that guard the peaceful life of the Turkmen people, the President continued.

Speaking about the importance of strengthening the human resources potential, the head of state instructed the Minister to conduct educational, political, educational, and social work at specialized educational institutions at the appropriate level.

Then the Minister of internal Affairs, M. Chakyev, reported on the work of subordinate units for the months of January and February, as well as on the practical steps being taken to prevent offenses, prevent road accidents on motorways, and ensure fire safety in all regions of the country.

After hearing the report, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country stressed the importance of coordinated activities of all structural divisions of the Ministry of internal Affairs.

Priority should be given to maintaining public law and order, observing the rule of law, as well as conducting an irreconcilable fight against negative phenomena that still occur, the head of state said, addressing specific instructions to the Minister.

Head of The state border service Sh. Durdyev reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the results of the Department's work for the two months of 2020 and the conditions being created for the service of defenders of the Fatherland. There was also a report on the progress of modernization of the material and technical base of border connections.

Independent Turkmenistan is steadily implementing a policy of peace, good neighborliness and broad international cooperation based on the principles of permanent neutrality, the President said.

However, as a sovereign state, in accordance with the provisions of a defensive Military doctrine provides a dramatic transformation to enhance the strength of the National army, are responsible for the cleanliness of the sky, border security and peace of our people.

Speaking about the priority vectors of the judicial system, the President of Turkmenistan stressed that the development of our country as a legal and democratic state largely depends on its effectiveness.

In this regard, the importance of improving domestic legal proceedings and studying legislative innovations in this area was noted. The judicial body has a significant role to play in protecting the rights and interests of citizens, the President continued, addressing the head of the Supreme court with relevant instructions.

The attorney General B. Atdaev reported on their subordinate structure work since the beginning of this year.

After hearing the report, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country ordered to continue taking steps to improve the activities of this body.

It is necessary to apply measures of prosecutorial influence, to exercise strict supervision over the execution of legislative acts, the President said, instructing to keep under constant control the organization of the Department's work in accordance with the realities of the time.

The head of the Ministry of national security G. Annaev reported on the measures taken in January-February to ensure national security and reliable protection of the foundations of state sovereignty.

Summing up the report, the head of state noted that the grandiose programs being implemented to modernize the country, increase its economic potential and international prestige are successful largely due to the cohesion of society.

One of the main tasks is to ensure national security in the context of global threats and challenges of our time, the President of Turkmenistan stressed, addressing a number of specific instructions to the head of the Ministry of internal Affairs.

Further, the Minister of justice B. Muhammedov reported on the results of activities for January-February of this year, as well as on the comprehensive measures implemented to improve the current legislative framework, in particular, on the preparation of proposals for making changes and additions to regulations.

Summarizing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that one of the priority areas of the Department's work is legal expertise and approval of draft documents of a legal nature.

It is necessary to pay great attention to explaining the provisions of the adopted laws among the population, the head of Turkmenistan ordered, addressing specific instructions to the head of the Department.

Then the Chairman of the State customs service M. Hudaykulyev reported on the results of the work done by the Department for the period under review.

After hearing the report, the Supreme Commander of the country's Armed Forces stressed that comprehensive measures should be taken to improve the effectiveness of this structure, and in this regard, the need for broad implementation of international best practices in this area was noted.

Keep the focus on the issues of safety of movement of goods and vehicles across the customs border, continued the head of state, authorizing the head of Department to exercise strict control over the conditions of the relevant procedures.

Further, the Chairman of the State migration service, M. Gurdov, reported on the work carried out in January-February to solve the tasks set for the structure.

Summing up the report, the Supreme Commander of the country's Armed Forces focused on the priority aspects of the Department's activities. Among the main requirements were marked impeccable performance of duties by personnel, improvement of work.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the State Security Council Ch. Amanov reported on the state of Affairs in the military and law enforcement agencies, the results of their work for two months of this year.

It was also reported on the progress of reforms initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the supervised departments, and comprehensive measures taken to successfully solve the tasks outlined in the Military doctrine.

The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the issues of strengthening the personnel potential of the National army, social security of soldiers and officers.
