A briefing dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Saudi Arabia, "Turkmenistan" reports.
The meeting was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign States and international organizations accredited in Riyadh, the king Faisal center for Islamic studies, the Center for research and international knowledge, the Saudi branch of the Humanitarian Association of world Turkmens, activists of the Turkmen Diaspora and journalists.
During the briefing and the discussion that took place within it, the great creative importance of the Turkmen neutrality as a fundamentally new political tool for the implementation of Turkmenistan's foreign policy initiatives was noted.
The high interest of the world community in the principles and role of Turkmen neutrality in the development of international relations and strengthening of global peace and security was also noted. The participants of the meeting were familiarized with the anniversary events held in Turkmenistan and abroad in 2020.
In this regard, special attention was paid to the upcoming international conference "The Policy of neutrality and its role in ensuring international peace, security and sustainable development", which will be held in Ashgabat on December 11-12 this year.
Media discs with videos and information materials dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality were presented to the briefing participants.
