Turkmen-Afghan business forum held in Ashgabat

Opportunities to increase the range of imports and exports between the two countries, as well as issues of expanding investment, simplifying trade procedures and establishing direct contacts between business circles were discussed at the Turkmen-Afghan business forum held in Ashgabat today. The venue was the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side was represented at the forum by the heads and representatives of a number of ministries and departments of the country, including the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs, as well as the chamber of Commerce and industry. The representative Afghan delegation included experts from the country's trade and economic bloc and private entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their intention to intensify trade relations in the field of energy, transport and logistics, communications and industry. They also exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the oil and gas and construction industries. In this regard, the participants of the business forum agreed to continue regular negotiations, the website of the Turkmen foreign Ministry reports.
