A number of new plants will be built in Turkmenistan until 2023. This was announced at a Government meeting by Deputy Prime Minister Shamuhammet Durdylyev.
According to him, in order to increase the capacity of the Baherden and Lebap cement plants of the state enterprise "Turkmensement" to 1 million tons of products per year, the construction of their second stage is planned.
In addition, it is planned to build a plant for the production of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware in the Bakherden etrap of the Akhal velayat, a plant for the production of 100 tons of glass products per day in the Geoktepe etrap, and a plant for the production of ceramic tableware in Dashoguz. Also among the objects planned for construction is an enterprise for the production of rebar with a capacity of 150,000 tons per year, according to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan.
According to the Decree signed by the President of Turkmenistan, the newly created new Ministry of industry and construction production is required to ensure the construction of these facilities in 2020-2023.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister to monitor the implementation of the expanded large-scale construction program, the implementation of the plan for the construction of industrial facilities in cities and villages of the country, as well as to take measures to stimulate investment activity in this area.
The head of state stressed that it is necessary to consider all issues related to the development of architectural and construction projects in a comprehensive and systematic manner. This includes environmental planning, engineering and technological analysis of objects, design of structures, etc.
It is the industrial sector that should become the engine for other sectors of the national economic complex, as it is the basis for their further development, the leader of the nation said.
In this context, it is necessary to create modern enterprises that specialize in processing the richest natural resources, expand the range of construction materials that are not inferior in their characteristics to foreign analogues, actively introduce innovative and digital technologies, the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress and advanced world experience.
Focusing on improving the existing production capacities of the industry, the President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of attracting the opportunities of the private sector of the economy for these purposes, which should increase the efficiency of the entire complex.
