The Ministry of industry of Turkmenistan and “Innopolis” University signed a Memorandum of cooperation

A Memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of industry and construction of Turkmenistan and “Innopolis” University of Tatarstan was signed during the working visit of the Minister of industry and construction of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Tatarstan, “Tatar-inform” reports with reference to the press service of the University.

As part of the work program, he got acquainted with the work of the special economic zone and the “Innopolis” University. The University specializes in education, research and development in the field of information technology and robotics, and cooperates with major universities and research institutes in order to integrate the world-famous Russian traditions of fundamental science and best foreign practices.

According to the Memorandum, Tatarstan and Turkmenistan will exchange experience on the use of information technologies in industry and on the digitalization of the economy.  Also, by virtue of the agreements, the parties will cooperate in training specialists, masters and highly qualified researchers, conduct joint consultations, develop and implement joint research projects and educational programs based on IT.

The Memorandum provides for cooperation in any other areas of mutual interest.

The rector of the University "Innopolis" Alexander Tormasov:

- “Innopolis” University, in addition to training personnel for the development of the digital economy, is engaged in research and development in the field of information technology and robotics. Laboratories and centers of our University successfully carry out joint projects with partners in such industries as oil and gas, agriculture, medicine, transport and other areas of the economic sector. I am confident that we will have many promising opportunities when working together with our Turkmen partners.
