Turkmen students completed a week-long internship in Japan under the "MIRAI" program

Young lawyers and students of higher education institutions – future lawyers from Central Asia and the Caucasus - have become participants in the cultural awareness program "MIRAI", organized on the initiative of the Japanese Foreign Ministry. This is reported by the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper.

The program provides an impetus for the further development of multifaceted relations between Japan and the countries participating in this initiative. An important part of the trip was guided tours. This educational program is implemented on an annual basis. This year, its educational component is devoted to such a professional direction as "The Rule of law".

Participants from Turkmen side were representatives of the ministries of foreign Affairs and justice, as well as students of Institute of international relations of MFA of Turkmenistan and the International University of humanitarian Sciences and development.

The main program of the week-long trip included: a visit to Tokyo and the surrounding area of the city; attending lectures on Japanese politics, universities and institutions whose professional specifics are related to legal issues; familiarization with Japanese culture and traditions of the land of the rising sun.

On the first day of the trip, a lecture course was held from specialists of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Japan. Next, all participants of the "MIRAI" program attended a course of lectures on the basics of the modern legal system of the host country.

As part of the program, participants were introduced to the culture and rich traditions of the Japanese people. For this purpose, excursions were organized to special places of interest in this country. Trips were organized to the heart of Japan and the city with a thousand – year History-Kyoto, and later to another unique center of the country – Hiroshima. Here, in the unique Museum of the atomic bomb, a lecture on the history of Hiroshima was organized. 

And in the heart of the land of the rising sun – in Tokyo, the program participants visited Waseda University, which is widely known as one of the most prestigious private higher education institutions in Japan. Professor Hiroshi Oda of the faculty of law gave a lecture on current issues of modern jurisprudence to all participants of the program and initiated an exchange of views and experience on particularly important aspects. At the final stage of this training trip, representatives of each delegation made thematic presentations, after which all participants of the program were awarded personal certificates.
