Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of the hyakims of the city of Ashgabat and the velayats. The agenda includes issues related to the preparation of the investment program for 2020, the successful implementation of the tasks outlined in the program of socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
First, the President held a working meeting with the hyakims of Ashgabat city and Akhal velayat, which reported on the state of Affairs in the capital and the region, reported on the progress of reforms and programs, ways of solving the tasks envisaged in the investment program for the year 2020.
The head of the capital administration Sh. Durdylyev informed about the ongoing work in the main city of the country, in particular, on further modernization of its infrastructure. It was also reported on the progress of construction of a new, modern administrative center of velayat. After hearing the reports, the leader of the nation emphasized the importance of successfully solving the tasks envisaged by the program of social and economic development of Turkmenistan for 2019-2025, as well as the program of industrialization of the country for the period up to 2030.
In this regard, special attention is paid to the transformation of the Motherland into a state with a developed industry, the active introduction of integrated digitalization, which is necessary for the development of a diversified national economy.
All this, along with the creation of jobs, is a significant factor in strengthening the economic potential of the capital and the velayats, further improving the social and living conditions of the people, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued.
It should also be noted that members of the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs actively participate in the implementation of large-scale transformation programs deployed in the country. Stressing that this is of particular importance in the context of implementing important projects, timely and high-quality construction of large social facilities, the head of state instructed to continue to ensure proper control over work in this direction.
The workshop continued with the participation of hyakim of Balkan velayat J. Gylyjov and hyakim of Lebap velayat T. Atahallyev. The heads of regional administrations reported on the measures taken to successfully implement the National rural program, prepare an investment program for 2020, and implement the main directions of the President of Turkmenistan's program for social and economic development of the country for 2019-2025.
Currently, in the Balkan and Lebap velayats, high-speed construction of high-comfort residential buildings and other social and cultural facilities is underway. As reported, private profile companies are actively involved in their construction.
Summarizing the reports, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that large-scale work aimed at improving the living standards of the population is being carried out in the regions, pointing out the need for its effective continuation.

Following the workshop, the President of Turkmenistan took part hyakim of Dashoguz velayat N. Nazarmyradov and hyakim of Mary velayat D. Annaberdiev, which reported on the state of Affairs in the assigned regions and on the measures taken for systematic improvement of social conditions of life of the population.

The reports of the hyakims provided detailed information that the relevant work on drafting and building modern bus stations is being carried out in these velayats within the framework of the program of the President of Turkmenistan on social and economic development of the country for 2019-2025.

According to the instructions of the leader of the nation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, it is planned to equip the bus stations planned for construction with the latest communication systems, advanced, including digital technologies. The head of state also noted the importance of commissioning the Ashgabat – Turkmenabat high-speed highway, which is being built by Turkmen entrepreneurs, both for enhancing international cooperation and forming transit corridors, and for creating a coherent communication between the passenger bus stations of the velayats and the capital.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan, being an important transport, logistics and transit hub of the region, pays close attention to the construction of transport highways of international importance.
In continuation of the topic, the leader of the nation focused on the issue of equipping passenger bus stations planned for construction in the velayats, stressing that these facilities must fully meet modern requirements and international standards.
