The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership between the Ministry of Finance and economy of Turkmenistan and the Swiss company "SICPA SA", which is a world leader in the field of marking with protected signs, was held in Ashgabat.

Taking into account that "SICPA SA" has developed an innovative solution for tracking various types of food and industrial products, the Ministry of Finance and economy of our country expressed interest in cooperation on secure authentication, control of production volumes and monitoring the movement of goods imported and exported by Turkmenistan, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

To sign the Memorandum and discuss the prospects for partnership, a delegation of the above-mentioned company headed by the Chairman of the Board and General Director Philip Amon arrived in Ashgabat. During the negotiations, the parties confirmed their readiness for an open and trusting dialogue in order to provide the market with high-quality and high-tech labeling solutions that will protect both buyers and the country's retail network from counterfeit products.

The Memorandum is aimed at promoting the development of the digital economy in Turkmenistan, which is identified by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as a priority task. Expanding the use of various electronic systems and information networks, including in areas such as trade and taxation, and preventing smuggling, will also help our country integrate into global financial and trade relations, and strengthen its image as a bona fide and competitive partner.

A strategic partnership with one of the world leaders in the field of protective labeling will allow us to master and implement modern technologies in Turkmenistan, which will become the basis for creating a new digital "environment of trust" for business relations and the development of the digital economy as a whole.
