President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via digital video link with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agricultural complex, the hyakims of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat. The agenda included issues of socio-economic development of the regions and the capital, the progress of work in the agro-industrial sector, and other relevant aspects of state and public life, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
Opening the meeting, the head of state was the first to call the Hakim of the Akhal velayat, S. Berdimuhamedov, who reported on the situation in the region, including seasonal work on agricultural land.
Along with this, it was reported on the provision of heat, gas, water and energy supplies to the population in the winter period, and above all, social facilities, and on the progress of work on construction sites in the region.
Hyakim congratulated the head of state on the annual holiday celebrated on January 27, the day of defenders of the Fatherland, and wished him good health and new outstanding achievements in the work for the prosperity of the country.
After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on careful preparation of land areas, seed material and agricultural machinery for the next sowing season, where timely implementation of appropriate agricultural measures, including plowing and leveling of fields, is of great importance.
Noting the importance of quality care for winter grain crops on a comprehensive scientific basis, taking into account local soil and climate characteristics, the President stressed the need to create all conditions for productive work of farmers.
As the head of state noted, the issues of further modernization of social infrastructure in rural areas and in the region as a whole should be kept under constant review.
Speaking about the importance of putting into operation in the planned time the objects being built within the framework of the National rural program, including the new modern administrative center of velayat, organizing high-level events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, the President gave hyakim a number of instructions to ensure coordinated activities of administrative and industrial structures in order to successfully solve all the tasks set.
Noting that a new gardening season will traditionally be launched in all parts of the country in the spring, the head of state addressed instructions to the head of the velayat administration on proper preparation for this action.
Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov called the head of the Balkan velayat, Y. Gylyjov, via digital video link, who reported on the work being carried out in the Western region in the agricultural sector and other areas.
Taking this opportunity, hyakim also warmly congratulated the President on the day of defenders of the Fatherland, expressing his best wishes to the head of state.
Focusing on the issue of increasing the efficiency of the velayat agro-industrial complex in order to increase the yield of wheat, cotton and other agricultural crops, the President of Turkmenistan instructed to ensure proper care of winter grains and comprehensive quality preparation for spring sowing.
The head of state pointed to the need for continuous control over the situation on construction sites in the region, the planned implementation of the National rural program, uninterrupted heating of residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, energy, gas and water supply to the population of velayat and gave instructions to prepare for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of neutrality in the region.
The working meeting continued with the report of hyakim of Dashoguz velayat N. Nazarmyradov, who reported on the state of Affairs in the region. The Turkmen leader also received congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of the day of defenders of the Fatherland.
Speaking about the importance of the reforms launched in the agricultural sector, the head of state stressed the importance of a responsible and thoughtful approach to organizing field work, which must be performed in accordance with the established standards of agricultural technology.
Taking an interest in the state of Affairs at the construction sites of the velayat, the President pointed to the need to complete the work on the objects being built within a certain period of time.
The head of state ordered to keep under strict control the issues of improving the social sphere of the region. Appropriate instructions were given to prepare for the spring planting campaign.
Then the hyakim of the Lebap velayat T. Atakhalliyev reported on the issues on the agenda of the meeting. It was reported about the status and pace of work carried out in agriculture, on construction sites, on measures that were taken to build capacity of the industrial sector, modernization of social infrastructure of the region, provision of heat, electricity, gas and water supply.
Congratulating the President of Turkmenistan on the day of defenders of the Fatherland, the head of the regional administration wished the head of state good health and new great successes.
Summing up the report, the Turkmen leader stressed that it is necessary to steadily increase the efficiency of agricultural work, in this regard, pay special attention to the rational use of land and water resources, and the introduction of productive scientific methods in this area.

After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for optimal implementation of the existing potential in the agricultural sector of the velayat, as well as in all other sectors of the economy.
The President addressed specific instructions to hyakim regarding ensuring high quality of construction of objects being built in velayat and their timely commissioning, preparation for events held under the motto "Turkmenistan is the homeland of Neutrality", as well as for the next national landscaping campaign.
The working meeting on digital video communication continued with the report of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, E. Orazgeldiyev. The Deputy Prime Minister informed about the state and pace of agricultural work, paying special attention to the implementation of seasonal agro-technical measures on agricultural areas, care for winter wheat, preparation of fields, equipment, seed material and other appropriate means for spring sowing.
It was also reported on the measures taken in connection with the upcoming spring gardening campaign. The Deputy Prime Minister also congratulated the head of state on the day of defenders of the Fatherland.
Summing up the report, the Turkmen leader specified the key directions of reforms implemented in the agro-industrial complex, which is one of the basic branches of the national economy. Stressing the need to make maximum use of existing opportunities, including in the processing segment, the President instructed to keep the solution of tasks set in this area under regular control.
The head of state addressed instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister on ensuring the organized conduct of the upcoming field work, establishing mutually agreed activities of the relevant services and structures. In this context, the importance of the development of branch science, its close connection with production, and the introduction of digital technologies in domestic agriculture was noted.
On the topic of gardening, the President instructed to consider in detail preparing for another massive tree-planting, including the proper selection of seedlings of different species of trees and shrubs, based on soil and climatic conditions on the ground.
As it was noted further, environmental protection, careful attitude to nature, preservation and enhancement of its beauty and wealth for future generations are a priority of the state policy of Turkmenistan. In our country, we pay close attention to the environment as a significant aspect of the UN "Agenda until 2030", one of the key factors for protecting people's health and creating comfortable conditions for their lives.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again stressed the importance of the next landscaping campaign and gave the Deputy Prime Minister relevant instructions.
Then the head of state called the mayor of Ashgabat Sh. Durdylyev by direct video link, who reported on the state of Affairs in the capital, measures being implemented to further modernize the city infrastructure, as well as on the implementation of instructions to prepare for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the country and the events held on this date.
There was information about the construction of large new buildings. As part of the report, hyakim submitted projects for construction to the President of Turkmenistan. Hyakim also expressed congratulations and best wishes to the President on the occasion of the day of defenders of the Fatherland.
The large-scale transformations launched in Ashgabat are aimed at giving a systematic character to its complex development, the head of state said, stressing that the work on improving the structures of the city economy and the activities of public services, the introduction of advanced digital technologies should be constantly kept in view.
For this purpose, it is necessary to study the best world experience in this field and apply it in the development of construction projects and improvement plans, including aesthetic and environmental components.
After reviewing the submitted projects and making a number of comments on them, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the Turkmen capital, taking into account its high status, should be an exemplary city in all respects, which especially concerns the creation of optimal comfortable conditions for people's lives.
Having asked about the situation with heating of residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, and energy supply to the population, the head of state pointed to the importance of uninterrupted functioning of the capital's engineering networks.
Focusing on the theme of celebrating the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, the President instructed to ensure a high organizational level of events dedicated to this significant event.
Concluding the workshop on digital video communication, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the participants good health and great success in their work.
