The service of self-registration of passengers has appeared at the Ashgabat International Airport, the issue of the Türkmenistan Newspaper reports.
11 self check-in counters allow passengers traveling without baggage to carry out a number of procedures without involving airport staff, following the instructions on the monitor. Self-registration is a modern convenient service, which is an alternative to classical registration, which has been used extremely actively lately. Its main advantage is time saving: passengers do not have to wait in line at traditional check-in counters. They are located in front of the registration area before customs control.
The grand opening of the new Ashgabat International Airport took place on September 17, 2016. It is located on an area of 1200 hectares and includes 100 structures. The terminal capacity is 1600 people per hour.
