The leading oil and gas producer in China, "PetroChina" reports, that according to the Three-year action plan adopted in 2018 to combat air pollution, natural gas consumption in the country will be increased, according to the Chinese news service "Xinhua".
"In 2020, natural gas production will increase by 8.2% to 187.5 billion cubic meters. Natural gas imports will also be increased by 9.3% to 150 billion cubic meters, " said a representative of "PetroChina".
The "Central Asia-China" gas pipeline started operating in December 2009, and to date, the pipeline has delivered about 300 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China, with more than 80 percent of this volume coming from Turkmenistan.
