The Prime tasks of the Government were announced by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, the head of state stressed the need to take effective measures to implement plans to transition to a digital economy and establish a system of electronic services, privatize state-owned enterprises and facilities, and reorganize them into joint-stock companies to tap existing growth reserves in various industries.
The head of state noted the need for new approaches to management, the active use of market mechanisms of management, the use of effective foreign developments in this area, as well as the diversification of the national economy.
It is necessary to carry out systematic work to increase the employment of the population, industrialization, development of new types of import-substituting products, creation of high-tech, innovative industries, the head of state continued.
The President also focused on organizing events dedicated to the year "Turkmenistan is the homeland of Neutrality". Pursuing a policy of "open doors" and multilateral economic diplomacy, our country opens up to the world as a state with a rich cultural and historical heritage, which we must popularize widely, Berdimuhamedov said.
