The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation provides grants to young artists

The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation provides financial assistance to young talented artists. Grants are given to those who work in the genres of painting, drawing, engraving and sculpture.

The grant varies from 15,000 to 18,000 Canadian dollars, but the Foundation reserves the right to award grants in other amounts. The grant money can be used for any purpose in the field of art: study, transportation, Studio rent, purchase of materials, etc.
The grant recipient will be required to submit a detailed report on their creative activities after the completion of the work or project.

Requirements for candidates:

Artists (including students) who are over 18 years old and live in any country can apply for the grant. They must be at the beginning or Prime of their creative career and work in the style of painting, drawing, sculpture or engraving. An indispensable requirement: candidates must show their desire and desire to develop their career in the arts.

The Foundation does not accept applications from commercial artists, photographers, video artists, or filmmakers. Also, the works of abstract artists are not considered.

How to apply for participation:

You must fill out the application form and attach the following:

- CD-ROM with the image of 6 works performed during the last two years;

- copy of passport;

- copies of invitations, announcements, reviews, newspaper clippings and other written materials relating to any exhibition or other demonstration of the candidate's work;

- a project with a full description, which the participant intends to implement at the expense of the received grant;

- detailed project budget;

- a letter of recommendation from one of the teachers or professors, artists or curators of the gallery with an assessment of the creative activity of the candidate.

All documents and materials must be submitted in French or English. If they are provided in a different language, you must attach a French or English translation. Applications for participation in the competition are accepted at any time. Documents should be sent by regular mail to the address:
