The title of Honorary Professor of the state medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev was awarded to doctor of medicine from Germany Axel Hauschild. He was awarded this high title for his personal contribution to the development of medical science and the activation of cooperation in this field between Germany and Turkmenistan, the State news Agency of our country reports.
Professor Hauschild is a well-known specialist in dermatology and skin cancer, member of the steering Committee of the European Union of oncologists, head of the training center at the University clinic, and co-founder of the dermatological clinic in Kiel.
Axel Hauschild received his medical education at the universities of Mainz, Lubeck and Kiel. According to Professor Hauschild, at first he wanted to become an orthopedist and sports doctor. Later, he became interested in the problems of skin diseases and methods of combating dermatological Oncology.
Professor Hauschild's active research work has been awarded Prizes by the German society of Oncologists (DKG) and the Foundation for skin Oncology. He is the author of more than 300 articles and 13 monographs on skin diseases, including cancer.
– The title of Honorary Professor of the state medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev is a high assessment of my clinical activity. I accept it with great gratitude and pride, " Dr. Hauschild said in a speech at the ceremony today. – I consider awarding me such an honorary title as a new stage of close cooperation with my Turkmen colleagues.
