Special issues of printed publications devoted to the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in The International Fund for saving the Aral Sea and the First Caspian economic forum were published: "International Fund for saving the Aral Sea" and "the Caspian Sea: Advantages of international economic cooperation".

In the period from 2017 to 2019, our country held the chairmanship of the International Fund for saving the Aral Sea. During this period, under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was elected President of the Foundation, a number of significant initiatives aimed at solving environmental, socio-economic and other issues of the Aral Sea were implemented.

A lot of work was also done to further improve the activities of the IFAS, improve the efficiency of the bodies and structural divisions of the Fund, and strengthen its organizational and legal foundations. Thus, on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, on August 24, 2018, the next Summit of the heads of state-founders of IFAS was held in the national tourist zone "Avaza". In addition, over the past 3-4 years, meetings of the Fund and its commissions have been held regularly, as well as international events on the Aral Sea have been organized and conducted.

Summing up its chairmanship, the Turkmen side has published a special collection of information materials and documents on the formation and development of The International Fund for saving the Aral Sea, the website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

Another publication, the Caspian Sea: Advantages of international economic cooperation, reflects the results of the first Caspian economic forum. Official documents are concentrated here, as well as speeches made during this international event.

It should be noted that the idea of holding the Forum belongs to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It found its political and legal reflection in the adopted Joint Communique on the results of the V Summit of the heads of the Caspian States, held on August 12, 2018 in the city of Aktau of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The holding of the Forum and the publication of materials is an important step towards the implementation of the agreements reached earlier at the highest level.
