Turkmenistan and Cuba expand mutually beneficial cooperation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with Mr. Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Turkmenistan (with residence in Baku), the foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.  

According to the information, the parties discussed the current situation of Turkmen-Cuban relations in the political, diplomatic, economic and humanitarian fields. In particular, the possibilities of cooperation in the field of health care, agriculture, sports, tourism and other industries were considered. Interaction within the framework of international organizations and the necessity of intensifying cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of both countries were also discussed during the meeting.

According to the source, the Ambassador of Cuba noted the important role of the positive neutrality policy of Turkmenistan aimed at maintaining peaceful relations with all countries of the world, and expressed hope for the expansion of mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
